Dea Artis Vox, originally named Midnight Scrawlings, came about when Lianne, better known as Savage Midnight, decided it was about time she replaced her recently deceased website, Promised Dreams, with a much simpler site that was easier to navigate and easier to maintain.

With hardly any time to spare due to a hectic college life, Lianne found it increasingly difficult trying to build an intricately designed, attractive website during the short moments she got to spend on the internet. So, tired of her perfectionist ways, Lianne decided that she no longer cared how professional her site looked, so long as it served it�s purpose. She needed a small, simple site in order to archive all her fanfiction, as well as her links and her recommendations. She gave up trying to find the time to build a site for her original work, because if Lianne were completely honest with herself, she�d admit that she hasn�t written anything original in a while. She knows she should feel guilty about wasting her precious time writing fanfics, but she doesn�t really care. She�s having too much fun.

So Dea Artis Vox (which, roughly translated, stands for voice of the art goddess. And no, I make no claims to being as such), is a small, poorly designed site where you will find most of Lianne�s fanfics. She left some of them out because she�s too damn ashamed of them, because Lianne is still in fact learning, despite the fact that she�s been writing for several years. She�s not ashamed to admit that she�s written quite a few bad fics in her time, but she is ashamed to show them to you. Ha.

Her fanfics are separated into four sections for the time being - Smallville, Pitch Black, Dark Angel and Other. If you�re unable to work out this simple navigation then Lianne has failed in her task.

Under the Updates section you will find, of course, a list of updates. This will include new fics that have been added, fics that have been updated with new chapters, new fic recommendations and new links. It may also include notes about upcoming fanfic projects Lianne is working on.

Under the Recommendations section you will find a variety of short summaries and reviews for some of Lianne�s favourite fanfics.

The LJ section links you to Lianne's LiveJournal.

Under the Links section you will find links to some of Lianne�s favourite sites, which will include fanfiction archives, message boards and personal sites.

Lianne is not going to bother explaining the Contact section, though she would like to mention that she adores feedback of any kind. She practically drools over it. She likes to know what she�s doing right and what she�s doing wrong, so go ahead, tell her. She really wants to know.
