Sars
Sars stands for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. It has become a pandemic (global epidemic) and travelled the globe with the air carriers, and infected countries like Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Canada, some European countries and even the United States.
The whole purpose of the web site is to remind the people all over the world that Sars may have killed some people, but it is not necessarily fatal for everyone. We need to go on and have a normal life, so please try to understand more about this newly discovered coronavirus which had claimed the lives across the globe. Do not get paranoid, we simply have to take care of our own hygiene, but what is most important is to learn that it is our IMMUNE SYSTEM which is our strongest defense against the virus. When our immune system is strong, we can fight not just this virus, but all types of cancerous cells as well.
I would like to present all the facts based on the newspaper reports here in Singapore, and would once again remind the rest that life goes on much pretty the same as before. Of course, we see some people wear the mask on the streets, but that is a personal choice. It is good to put on that if they have some cough and try to prevent any germs from spreading to the others. BUt there is no evidence to suggest that the virus is everywhere.
Those who are infected are the ones who had travelled to the countries like China and Hong Kong. Some others are infected through close contact with their infected family members and the other half of the people who got it were in contact with the Sars patients.
