As a non-profit organization the MOMS Club® of St. Augustine-North, FL is actively involved in supporting local charities, in particular those who attempt to meet the needs of children and families in our community. We also support the MOMS Club® Mother-to-Mother Fund. This fund was established by the International MOMS Club to assist members who have experienced a catostrophic event.

2009-2010 Service Projects

October 2009- Clothing Swap
We will hold a Clothing Swap at our next Business Meeting. All unclaimed items will be donated to Betty Griffin House afterwards.

March Of Dimes
We will be raising money to be donated to the March of Dimes and then walking in the St Augustine "March for Babies" on November 7th! This will be our second year doing this project. Last year we raised 1760.00. Let's try to beat that this year!

Our completed past Service Projects since our chapter was founded in 2006 include:

2008-2009: Donated $50.00 to the MOMS Club Mother-to-Mother Fund: The Mother-To-Mother Fund is the ONLY official MOMS Club charity, and is supported only by donations from the local chapters. It provides financial support in times of dire emergency or catastrophe; Fulfilled Christmas List for a family at the Betty Griffin House (shelter for abused women and their kids); Sponsored a Spirit Booth and raised $1760.00 for the March of Dimes “March for Babies” Walk in St Augustine. We won the award for Best New Team; Handmade cards for terminally ill kids through the “Make A Child Smile” foundation; 2nd annual Clothing Swap for our members. We donated 7 bags and 4 boxes of children’s clothes, 3 boxes of toys and a high chair to Community Connections in Jacksonville. They provide transitional housing and services to Jacksonville’s homeless or low income women, children, and families.

2007-2008: $100.00 to the MOMS Club® Mother2Mother Fund; Fulfilled Christmas Lists for 2 families at the Betty Griffin House; Clothing Swap-donated items to a youth services organization in Jacksonville; Collected stuffed animals for SAFE (Stuffed Animals for Emergencies); Donated $300.00 to Wolfson Children’s Hospital’s Child Life Dept in Jacksonville; $100.00 to the March of Dimes, Donated for backpacks of personal items for kids who are taken from their homes and put into foster homes.
