We are not able to display any specifics about upcoming activities, but below are some examples of our past activities. You and your child(ren) are welcome to attend up to two public activities or a monthly business meeting prior to becoming a member of the MOMS Club of St Augustine-North. * Only MOMS Club members are eligible to attend playgroups and activity groups hosted in members' homes.
Monthly Meetings: Each month we hold our Business Meeting to discuss club business and hold any votes that may be needed. We also occasionally have various Speakers at these meetings as a resource for our members. We are always looking for ideas for new speakers! Our meeting location is located at Faith Community Church on CR210! Please contact us for meeting information at [email protected].
Playdates: Many lasting friendships have been made through playgroups. They are a fantastic way for you and your child to interact with other moms and children on a sociable level. Our playdates are open to kids of all ages, we don’t separate them by age. We find that we like to see our friends even if their kids are different ages and it allows us to give and get great advice because there’s always someone there who’s already been through it!
In addition to playgroups, our monthly calendar is FULL of other activities during the day when you need support most. The entire membership is invited to participate in any monthly activity.
Park days and neighborhood playgrounds: We meet weekly at local parks such as Trout Creek, Alpine Grove and Palencia playground in addition to our own neighborhood parks.
Pool days throughout the summer: We take turns hosting pooldays each week at the different neighborhoods where our members reside. It's a great way to cool off in the summers!
Storytime @ local libraries/book stores
Kids book club (once a month): We have a theme each month , we read the book/s to the kids and then they have a corresponding activity.
Field Trips such as: Museums, Movies, Fire Station Tours, Jacksonville Zoo just to name a few.
Holiday Parties: We have various holiday parties throughout the year.These are open to members only and we always have great turnout!
Lunch Bunch: Usually follows a parkday, we meet for lunch at a local restaurant or eatery.
Pick your own fruit outings (Summer-Blueberries): The kids always enjoy picking their own fruit. It’s a great family activity.
MOMS Night Out (MNO): A monthly evening outing for just the mom’s to get out and enjoy themselves. Past MNO have included: Coffee and talk at Starbucks, 80's karaoke night, Dinner out at local restaurants, free dance lesson at Kaluby's Dance Club, Live jazz on the roof at the San Sebastian Winery, Scavenger Hunt, Game Night at a members home (always a favorite), a movie. We're always accepting new ideas for fun MNO!
Special Interest Groups are common interests that our mom’s share and meet once a month while the kids play. Interest groups are open to all members and any new interest group ideas are welcome!
