Jon sponsored the first silent auction of The Decorated Pumpkin Festival at his Cafe in 2003 and invited me to paint Autumn for 2004. Contact Jon to design a pumpkin with a non-perishable solid foam core for October's annual silent auction (Art Night in Laguna Beach). The only rule to participate is you must have fun! All ages are welcome to create any theme or season for design. Give your creation to John Madison or Andre Hebert by September for display before the auction. All proceeds go to The Family Violence Project.

Kathleen Fee Nickerson Ph.D. - Executive Director of The Family Violence Project. She and Jon created the first silent auction of The Decorated Pumpkin Festival.
Dr. Nickerson says, "One out of every three people of all ages experiences violence." The proceeds given to The Family Violence Project go into training and materials for community education to recognize and respond to preventing all types of violence and abuse. Pamela Iles - Orange County Superior Court Judge who observed that victims of violence suffered the same patterns of abuse because there were no intervention programs. Determined to make a difference, she held conferences to educate clergy, counselors, schools, and others in the community until the scope of the conferences grew too large. She then formed The Family Violence Project on whose board she serves.
