...Who is Jesus?
A small problem originates when one asks the question "who is Jesus" Like many questions I am asked a proper response to the question "who is Jesus?" is "What do you want to hear?" There are many opinions out there. There are many facts. But concrete ideas are few. When one wonders who Jesus is you have to ask yourself what you are prepared to believe. There is also the question of where exactly you will draw your information from. Aside from the select biographies in the Bible there is a litter of apocryphal literature surrounding the life and times of Jesus. Also, the people called Gnostics also had a view on who Jesus was. Their particular types of biographies will devastate many who cling to traditional gospels. What's more, other religions have accounts and views of Jesus such as the views in Islam and Judaism. History, speculation, law, and lore have all branded the Jesus story with numerous accounts and possibilities.
Therefore one who is looking will have to look hard depending on what exactly they are looking for. To aid in this most important study, we will present gospels, facts, opinions, and anything else to help. But as always, it would be advisable to spend a while with your independent studies and in doing so start a genuine journey toward Jesus Christ of Nazareth. |
