The chainmail lacks weight. The wearer of the chainmail gain its Protection without any Load added into the calculation of the character's Burden. Thought the weight has disappeared the chain retains its stiffness, and when wearers try to make delicate and precise movements (like casting spells) the chainmail has a Load of 1 (which is considerably better than the original 6). This penalty does not apply to magi with the virtue Subtle magic, and combat maneuvers are not considered to be delicate and precise movement. It is possible to make a chainmail suit specially designed to avoid this stiffness, but this requires the smith who makes it to succeed in a roll against an Ease Factor of 9+ using Dexterity + Profession (Smith).

Effect Frequency: 2/day
Trigger: When the belt is fastened the effect starts. Until the belt is unfastened the effect is triggered again at dusk and dawn.
