Twilight Scars: Roderick has had only two Twilights, but both were beyond his control. The first one was when he attempted a simple spontaneous spell to bring him a small item out of reach. Since then small objects tend to skitter away from him as if repulsed. The second was more serious to him, and happened as he was studying different spells to improve his appearance. Now he has a seeming that is somewhat unreal. In the modern world, it might look like a poor or over-done plastic surgery procedure was done on him and reduced his Presence from +3 to +2.

3 uses per day, item concentrates, trigger: playing a song, Total Enchantment Level: 32. This causes the targeted group to dance for as long as the music plays, and once it starts Roderick can allow the lyre to play on its own [much to the relief of his aching hands]).

Description and Background:
Roderick Hadrid was an adorable boy and a prodigy in music. His family had enough means to get him some training within the Church. It was here that he was met by his future master Scholastus, who took him to the ill-fated covenant of Treverorum to teach him the ways of Jerbiton magic and foster his talents. When he grew older he would also become his master's young lover, willingly seduced by the older man. An accident during training nearly destroyed his hands, and his master managed to restore them with magic, though they were arthritic, and all of his magic (except for Enchanting Music) became painful to use. Because of this he often chooses not to use magic and hasn't mastered any spells. It was shortly after his Gauntlet that the covenant finally was destroyed due to its mundane meddling. Roderick took on the name of one of his favorite custodes/lovers at the covenant (Ostenwald) and made his way into the Rhine Tribunal, eventually settling into a promising Summer covenant.
Roderick is a fantastic teacher, not only of music but also of the Artes Liberales and Latin. He often took students (always young men) to teach them and seduce them. With his skills and magic, this was very easy (though he rarely used spells if he could avoid it). His further development was in improving his music and learning the skills necessary for training his first apprentice. When he was finally ready he spent nearly two additional years achieving Magister rank and three years looking for the right apprentice (in retrospect he feels he may have been too selective). He taught him well and in time seduced him also. This student was not as receptive and to this day hates Roderick and himself for what they did.
Roderick has continued training, and he intends to write some books soon and train more apprentices. Now that he is older, he is not quite so preoccupied with finding lovers and hopes his next apprentices will turn out better.
Roderick is a very charming and handsome older man, slightly plump, but obviously one who lives well. He dresses well and takes care to groom carefully. This is not easy with his hands, so he employs a valet.
Magister Roderick does not fight, but will either subdue his attackers with magic, disappear, or simply flee, again using his magic.
