Here is a sample of some of my non pen turnings. All turnings could be done in other types of wood, color, style and size. Here is a listing of things I made/sold as gifts for Christmas. Anything you see here can be made from any available type of wood, and it can be finished with anything from a polishing wax, to a lacquer based finish, or left with just a fine sanded finish.
This is a set of 6 color pencils. They were made out of acrylic that matches the color of the pencil lead. These would make a great gift for anyone that does hand drawn designs.
This is a stand for cubes with images burned inside them with a laser (suncatchers). It uses a white LED(Light Emitting Diode) to illuminate the image inside the suncatcher cube. The LED is powered by a CR2032 3v watch battery found at drugstores and superstores. The top is made from mahogany and the bottom is made from blood wood.
This candle holder is made from walnut and maple wood. This particular candle holder is not for sale but can be recreated upon request.
These tops are made of various types of wood, and use a number of different profiles and sizes to get the finished top. Tops can also be made from more than one type of wood.
This candle/nick-nack holder is made from cedar.

This 'clamshell' holder is made from cedar, and has a lid. The inside of both the base and the lid are rounded.
This dish is made of Ash wood. The inside edge of the dish tapers slightly to give the bottom inside a slightly larger diameter than the top.
These dishes are all made from cedar.
These mini baseball bats can be made into fan/light pulls.
This mini goblet is made from cedar.
This ball/icicle christmas ornament is made from cedar with mahogany top and bottom pieces.
