In North America and Ireland, typically pronounced as /ā/. In non-rhotic dialects of England, Wales and Australia, pronounced as /or/. In rhotic dialects of Scotland, pronounced like /or/ but without rhotism (the r-sound); the Scots also pronounce /o/ this way. |
