There are four separate passages which discuss the Baneguard, all of which were collected into a tome called "Lives of the Pre-AEtonist Prophets". Note that these four passages are not the original writings of Danar but are copies made by early AEtonist monks almost five hundred years ago, right after the founding of AEtonism. Many scholars believe that the translations of Danar's writings were done by a group of monks over a period of several years, as the language and tone seems to change throughout the four passages.
The rest of Danar's writings, which could potentially be used to fill in the gaps left in these passages, are either missing, hidden by the AEtonist religious leadership, or destroyed.
There are few copies of the "Lives of the Pre-AEtonist Prophets" known to still exist. The text of Danar's notes below, from a copy found in the Grand Library of Marlona in the country of Esoria, is the most complete and legible copy known to exist.
