The Company continue their exploration and encounter three "walking dead" creatures.  Jeremi attempts to destroy them with his priestly training, but only succeeds in driving them away.  The rest of the Company doesn't try to stop the horrors, and one of the creatures claws Sebastian as it leaves into the darkness.

Later on in the cellar, the Company notices somebody above attempting to lift the cellar door to come down.  The intruder opens the door but closes it immediately after spying B'gokktem, who is standing in plain site at the bottom of the ladder.  The Company wait for hours hoping that the intruder would return, but to no avail.

That evening, Sebastian complains of having a powerful thirst and itchy red blisters on his skin.  Gur Prasaad uses some healing techniques taught to him by his Bhuwani Masters, and Sebastian admits to feeling slightly better.  Later, they discover that the dead woman was
Lucia Valenzio and go to her house, accompanied by the Tribune Roberto Doniz.  Inside they find clues: a bloodstain, a red hair, words written in blood, and a ring bearing the mark of the Torina family.  The Tribune is not too interested in helping the party conduct their investigation.

The 5th of Albicene
The Company awakes when the old woman returns with the city guard.  The Company explains that they found a blonde woman's body, and Roberto Doniz escorts the party to
Guillermo Alacado, a Magistrate, who tells them a legend about a group called the Sociedad Obscura, or "Shadow Society".  He asks the Company to help investigate the murder.

The Company investigates a few houses next to Lucia's house, starting with a small guest house, and learn that it was recently rented by a blacksmith (
Julio de Arriz).  Inside they find a wine bottle and a black mask with red hairs inside.  Jeremi questions Jorge Escribad, the main house's owner, who explains that the black-haried Julio has recently left town.

Late, Jeremi leaves the Company to give some money to the priest, Oricarto, who had helped them earlier.  Jeremi is dismayed to see that Oricarto is coughing violently and complaining of a terrible thirst, but refuses any help.

That night, Rafe is secretly contacted by one of the hooded men, who explain they have been following Rafe ever since they first contacted him.

The Third Play Session
    The 6th of Albicene
The Company visists Oricarto and offer for Gur Prasaad to heal him, but Oricarto refuses.  They also discuss a mysterious woman who was following them earlier that day.

On the other side of town, the Company encounters a public gathering that turns into a riot led by an Orator who implicates the Torino family in Lucia's murder.  Soldiers arrive to break up the gathering as the Orator and the Company (except Mikela) flee.  Mikela organizes the commoners to defeat the first wave of soldiers, then leaves them to their fate.

Rafe follows the Orator, who goes into a trapdoor in a house.  The Company follow him but discover that the other end of the underground corridor is blocked.  Moving above-ground, they find that the tunnel lets out in a house down the street.  A heavy chest is on top of the door. This particular underground entrance/exit is not marked on their map.
The Fourth Play Session
That night, Mikela receives a message from Tomas the Carpenter that her services are needed to discreetly escort Don Simion Torina across town.  A group of beggars also joins the escort.  The Company plans their route and begins their escorting duties.  They are skeptical of the beggars, and note that Rafe mysteriously "disappeared" from the Company at one point near the shop of Aristo the Wine Merchant

As they approach to the City Gate, 10 black-hooded men ambush the Company, and a great combat ensues.  In the middle of the battle, Rafe appears with the hooded men, but later switches sides to come to the aid of the Company.  During the combat, Jeremi, Tennyson, and Mikela are knocked unsconscious.  B'gokktem fells the last two hooded men with his last ounce of strength but is dismayed that his blow at the leader was fatal, preventing his being questioned.   Don Simion Torina is unhurt and vows to continue his journey across the city.
