Classroom Expectations
1. Respect
yourself, each other and your teacher at all times. You should always treat
others the way you want to be treated. Respect the rights of other students to a
safe and positive learning environment.
2. Come
to class ON TIME and prepared to learn (with pencil, paper, text book,
assignment, and a calculator when needed). You will not be excused from class to
go to your locker once class begins.
3. Do not use offensive language.
4. When
given time to do an assignment in class, use it for that purpose only.
5. Give the speaker undivided
attention.
6. Follow school rules.
7. Follow
directions given by the teacher.
8.
Keep your desks and the room clean.
9.
No food or drinks allowed in the classroom except bottled water.
10.
Please ask questions! Don't be shy! I am here to help you.
11.
You should remain seated until the bell rings. Standing at the door waiting for
the bell to ring is not acceptable.
12.
Bathroom pass: Students should make use of passing time between classes to use
the restroom. You will be allowed to use the restroom once during a period for
3-5 minutes. If you abuse this privilege, you will loose your privilege and
receive an after school detention. Try
to minimize leaving the classroom, you'll miss out on what we do in class and
you are responsible for what you miss.
11.
Missed quiz or test: Make-up is only for those who have excused absent or
lateness. You will need to make them up on your own
time, not during class. You can arrange to come in before or after school, or
during study hall period. You are responsible to make it up within the week that
you come back from your absence. If you fail to make up the quiz or test in that
time frame, you will get 0 for it.
12. Homework assignments are
to be done daily. You can get help from me before or after school (must be
arranged in advance) or Ms. Goldman at the Math Center (room 203). If you need
private tutor, please let me know, I'll refer you to other teachers in the Math
department.
