Merry, along with his good friend Pippin, his full name is Peregrin Took, are very close to each other, and spend a lot of their free time with each other. In fact, it is very hard to mention one without the other, for Merry and Pippin are hardly ever seperated from each other.
These two hobbits are both quite rich. Merry lives at Brandy Hall in Buckland, in the East Farthing. Pippin lives in Buckland as well, and is the youngest in his family, and lives with two older sisters.
Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee, also known as Sam, are also good friends of Merry and Pippin. Although, they live quite a ways off from Frodo and Sam; they live in the town of Hobbiton.
