Then out comes Obituary who I was a huge fan of at the time. I was excited cuz they played just about everything off of Cause of Death, which was my favourite album at the time. Thinking back, they aren't a very impressive or even heavy or fast band, and the show was mediocre. I was just happy to be seeing a death metal show.

Finally Napalm came out and just started bludgeoning it. They were pretty nuts. I think they were touring for Utopia Banished, so all they had to play was that album and a bunch of grindcore. Nothing slow. Not any of their boring new stuff. It was just plain sickness through and through. Only bummer was that due to the combined effects of a late running show and bus schedules, I had to leave right in the middle of Suffer the Children if I didn't want to sleep on a park bench downtown. It was still cool though.
