Richard III - Shakespeare - Sam was very lucky to get a part in this play as a young actor with the Bell Shakespeare Company, Richard III is about the fight thats Richard III put up to get to the throne of England, he killed or discredited everyone who stood in his way. One night he is haunted by all the ghosts of the people he has killed and dies in the Battle of Bosworth. Blackrock - Sam performed this show whilst at Uni, he played the part of a young wayward boy who has assulted people in the past and is also involved in the assult in this play. He is a very confused character. Much Ado About Nothing - Shakespeare - This is a comedy about a woman who is accused of being unfaithful, the play is full of cases of mistaken identity and deliberate confusion. The audience know the truth, and the characters remain to be confused. The Jungle Angels in America A Handful of Stars Cosi - A group of Australian psychiatric patients try to performe a stage production of Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, the rely on their ability to pretend, one character is passionate about Cosi and is a neurotic perfectionist. This play is both touching and amusing. The Glory of Living - Wildcard Productions - Sam told me that this play is predominantly about a couple and their relationship which is like no normal relationship, Lisa, the main female role, is now leading a life of sexual deviance and serial murder. The couple abduct young girls and kill them. Savage Love - Originally a one man show, now played with a cast of 5 (including Stephanie Charves-Jacobsen, Charlotte from Home and Away) about the ups and downs of love and romance, the getting together, the breaking up. The Beauty Queen of Leenane - an Irish play written by Martin McDonagh. It is set in the moutains and countryside of Ireland, and is classed as a gothic comedy. The play tells the story of a plain woman called Maureen, and her mother who is determined to interfere with Maureen's relationship. |
