Guide's Flies
My personal mantra pertaining to fishing flies: If youre willing to lose it, youre not afraid to use it.

Simplicity, functionality and durability mark the essence of flies designed to conform to the guides fly philosophy.  Foremost, the patterns must produce results on the water and withstand numerous hookups. Other attributes of this genre include short material lists, uncomplicated tying techniques, inexpensive and readily available components and a minimal investment of time. The melding of these characteristics results in a fly that in many different ways is very minimalistic. The flys inherent simplicity accentuates its expendable nature which will, more likely than not, increase the propensity for it to be  presented in more opportune, yet treacherous, locations.
A NV Caddis tied on a high-quality Daiichi hook. This pattern has a spun-dubbed deer hair body which is quick to tie, durable and very functional.
