Inspired by the Spanish Needles of Pritt, the October Caddis Soft Hackle is tied on a size 8 or 10 2XL hook and uses Scintilla dubbing (Fiery Amber) for the body. This gives the fly a more robust profile and allows the fly to be greased up for fishing in the surface. |

An Improved Pheasant Tail Soft Hackle. Quick to tie, deadly on the water and enhanced by the addition of a few Antron fibers between the thorax and hackle. |

The Miracle Caddis. This fly is central to the Caddis for Kids Fly Tying Marathon and tied on the Daiichi 1182 hook. This emerger pattern is rapidly earning a reputation as a consistent performer and, as always, durable and fast to tie. 500 in 24 hours, is that fast enough? |
|
The Wenatchee Stonefly. With a foam underbody and no hackle, this fly rides low in the water and is also fast to tie. The durability is outstanding and the materials are readily available and inexpensive. |

Inspired by the String Leech popularized by Bob Hull, the Articulated Bunny Leech utilizes the unique furling method for manufacturing the stinger connection. The rear hook, a Daiichi Octopus hook, is quite possibly one of the best stinger hooks available. |

The Nor-Vise (NV) Caddis as tied on the Daiichi 2421 low-water steelhead iron. This fly utilizes the unique spun-dubbed deer hair which makes a durable and buoyant body that is unmatched in its aesthetic attributes. This also rides extremely low in the water and is becoming a popular Northwest skating pattern for summer-run steelhead. |

The Trinity Soft Hackle. This is an original pattern tied on a size 4, 6 or 8 Daiichi X452. The body is Fl. Fire Orange Krystal Flash coated with head cement. The imitation seal thorax keeps the soft, webby hen hackle from matting down on the shank. This is a proven performer for searun cutthroat in saltwater and estuarine environs. |

The Regulator. As tied it is connected via furled monofilament to a tuft of poly-yarn. This is an extremely effective way to keep your midge patterns suspended just below the surface. |
