I am Mitra Ram Tamang born and brought up in a strict Buddhist family in Nepal. When I was a little child my parents dedicated me as a Lama. (Lama is the Priest of Buddhist). One day my uncle came to us from Katmandu (Jharlangh). He is a highest Lama (priest). And I just came from jungle (forest) after killing five little birds. When I saw my uncle I was very happy and I thought uncle will give me some money and say well done. But nothing happened like that instead he said the spirit of this birds born again as any other form of life, may be a men! And one day you will also die and your spirit also will born again may be like this birds and they will also kill you as you did. You will born again more then 8400000 time and they shall kill you.

I was very afraid, because I killed so many birds, dogs, ants, cooks, hen... and so many more. I was very troubled in my heart. I have no peace. After some years the day was 29 April 1988, I received a New Testament bible and I found written like this “and as it is appointed for men to die once but after this the Judgment Heb 9:27. Many time I read this word and then I knew every one must be die only once and after judgment. Not born again 8400000 times.

I began to believe in Jesus Christ. Those days we had no democracy in Nepal. It was a Hindu kingdom with Buddhist domain. Christianity was not accepted and if any one accepts Christ will arrest and put them in Jail and many have been killed those days. When my parents came to know that I accepted Jesus they hated me and persecuted me because they are strictly following Buddhism and they stopped my school and burned my uniform and books.

One day my father beated me too much and said you leave your Jesus and ask me whatever you want I will give you. If not I will ejected you from this house and from our family and I said to my father I want nothing but only Jesus. But you beat me; I will accept death from your hand than leaving Jesus. Then I blessed him. He didn’t have any thing to say but wept and away from me.

In 1993 January 12, my father ejected me from my family at night 9 O’ clock that time I had no proper cloth as it was winter I left my home. Two of my friends also join me and we walked in the night crossing the rivers through big jungle, 125 km and we reach Khatima which is in India at Saji Thomas place who guided me to Christ. And he took us to Deharadun where we got Bible Training for few months and we met Pastor Uncle Samjee P K whom we never forget for his love and care and he accept us. I have no word to explain for about him.

After bible school I decided to proclaim Jesus to everyone in our place and till today I am doing that. Today my parents are following the same Jesus Christ and my brother is preaching the word of God with us.

BURDEN FOR ORPHANS
Three years ago in a village I saw two children are looking at my child as they were eating biscuit and my children given them too. But again they were standing there. When I enquire about them I found that they Are orphans.

Before the second baby born, their father died and after birth of second baby mother died. By this cause people are saying, these children are devil, who were born in the image of men and ate their parents. All of their relatives and society hated them and expelled from their home and society. Now they are 5 and 7 years old they began to go to the village by village and house to house crying and wandering for food to fill their stomach. When I hear this tears fall down from eyes and I was depressed and become angry with this society, I asked myself what I can do for these children.

We came back home and prayed with my wife and asked God why you showed me these children?  After some time God spoke to me by this word, "Religion that God our father as pure and faultless is this to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep ones self from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27) That time I decided to take care of these children and those who are suffering like this. I want to care and educate them then will send back to their own society, where they were hated and expelled. Now I have six children like this whom I am taking care like my children and providing food, cloth, education and shelter.

Our God is good and He is taking care of everything. One day we didn’t have any food and there was a wedding going on next to our house. They invited only me and my wife told me to go for the wedding but I was not happy to go alone as all our children are hungry. That time children were in study and my wife gone to the room for prayer. After a while bridegroom’s father came and asks me why your face is looking down come for the wedding, I said we didn’t have any food for these children. Immediately he sends food for all of us and send 30 kg rice. We experience God’s grace like this many times in our life. We request your valuable prayer for these children and other dear workers.
