Under 11          v  Colyton St. Clair
Today we batted first and we scored a  very competative 3 for 124 off 36 overs. A great 83 run partnership between Brent and Riley led the way in the batting
Our bowlers all bowled well today but it was probaly our fielding that kept the pressure on our opponents, 2 catches by Daniel and 1 to Brent  at point dismissed our opponents top 3 batsmen.
Them some great fielding in the deep led by Vikramjit kept the pressure on  our opponents
  Great Effort  Boys

      Under    13  division 2             v       Emu Plains
A great first up game considering we only had one training session. The batting ,bowling and fielding proved to be of a high standard.
We all left the park on a high and more importantly with confidence in our ability to perform well in the future

Under 14       Division 2                 v        Colyton St. Clair
What A great  way  to start the season with a great first up win. With just 10 players we were off to a great start with Jarrod bowling  5 overs and conceding just 1 run and unlucky
not to have a wicket of 2.
All the bowlers did well considering that we  had 1 1/2 training sessions.
Our batting was a bit rusty early on with all of the batsmen needing  some match practice
The highlight being a 62 run partnership between Robert and Brian with Mathew and Aaron bringing us home.
A fantastice effort fellas with the best to come.
The team is Zac,Aaron,Kyle,Brian,Bradley,Mathew and Jarrod backing up from last year with Robert and Jacob coming up an age group to join in and of course Reece having a first start with the Hawks

Under 16  Open division              v                      Emu Plains
We fielded first  and with most first games we were a bit rusty in the field dropping some catches and bowling a few extras but we improved as the morning progressed  and managed to restrict the opposition  to 160 for 3  from 35 overs with wickets to Steve Donlan 1 for 21 from 7 overs , Alan Broadhead 1 for 13 and Shane Hodges 1 for 30.
We still had to score at over 4,5 per over to win , we lost our first wicket at 17 but then a fast attacking stand of 72 from  Michael and Steve   put us in front of the run rate, Steve was then out for a well deserved 46, Robert came in and  another stand of 54 ensured us a win, Michael was out 1 run short of his 50   Well done Michael.
Shane then came in and with Robert passed the target in the 28th over with Robert 37 n/o and Shane 10 n/o
A good first up win well done boys

Under 11   Today we batted first and we did very well. Our openers Brent and Mathew Combined well with a 91 run partnership. We then saw Daniel and Mitchell combine for a 72 run partnership to finish off our innings.
Our bowlers then did their job with some tifgt bowling, special mention to Shir and Aakash (0 for 5 off 4 ). At the end Glenmore Park's innings we ran out winners
Another great effort by all of the boys

Under 13   First the excuses for losing. Very hot day, lost the toss (so we copped the heat in  our fielding stint) and we were one player short. Now the facts ! We did not bat or field as well as we could have, too many catches were put down and credit goes to Cranebrook who played well All up this was a good game and an important learning curve for us all
An enjoyable day

Under 14   Today we lost the toss and were sent into bat. Our openers Kyle and Jarrod got us off to a great start with a artnership of 38. Then saw Zach and Kyle put on a 42 partnership. Robert then put on a quick 30 with our final score off 40 overs  4 for 160.
Then we went out to bowl and all of our bowlers performed well. The bowling was very tight with nearly all of our bowlers getting wickets and Jacob bowling a great 3 for 7 off 4 overs. A special thanks to Mathew Bullivant (13/2's) who helped us out today and also took a wicket. Well done boys a great match and a great day.
A BIG THANKYOU TO  John Curley who came and coached our team on Thursday and at the game, We Hope to see John at our next training session and game  Thanks John

Under   16   another one dayer against our neighbors and these local Deby's always turn out to be a good matches, and we won the toss and batted, using our newer batsmen to start  some tight bowling from Colyton kept our run rate down and after 21 overs we were only 56 for 4  but then our established batsmen came in and in the next 14 overs scored 100 an average of over 7 runs an over but time beat us and we finished with 156 for 7 from 35 overs.  a stand of 53 from  9 overs between  Sirihari Rao and Adam Broadhead  before Sirhari was run out for 29 Adam carried on the big hitting and ended with 57 n/o (well done)
Peter King scored a credible 24   and we had to defend a small total of 156
Some tight bowling by our 4 opening bowlers kept us in with a chance but then some big hitting by  C Neil
put them back into the match and it went right down to the last over before  Colyton secured the win
God bowling from Shane Hodges 2 for 20  Robert Matherson 1 for 10  and Michael Beggs 1 for 16

Under 11   V  Cranebrook, Today we won the toss and batted first on a very slow outfield, at 83 for 8 things did not look good but an unbeaten partnership  of 64 betwwen Daniel and Mathew  led us to a competative total, our bowling then rose to a new high with 2 wickets each to Brent, Mathew and Riley and 1 each to Joel,
Daniel,Noah and Mithchell all helping to bowl Cranebrook out for 88. Today also saw some great catches and fielding. In particular Aakash,Shir Vikramjit deserve special mention. Also great keeping by Mitchell with 2 catches and a stumping  Well done boys

Under  13 /2   V Glenbrook/Blaxland
Overall the team played pretty well, winning in the 36th over. Dropped catches were again our downside.
Shehan's batting was great to watch, a powerful player with the bat

Under 14/2  V  Glenbrook/Blaxland
We went to Gow Park today or as John Curley calls it "COW PARK"  today we lost the toss again and were sent into bat. We opened with 2 new openers Aaron and Jacob annd they got us off to a great start with a partnership of 27. Which is great for a team mixed of 14's 13's and 12's that gives everyone a go and that all boys get to open. We then saw Jacob and Reece put on a 23 run partnership, Jarrod and Jacob put on a 25 run partnership Robert and Zach then put on a  31 run partnership . Our final score  after 37 overs  was 143 for 6 with only 9 players.
Then we went out to bowl and we bowled the best we have and the boys having a lot of fun, with a lot of catchit?? even if no one was near the ball Jarrod's first ball taking a wicket and then the first ball of his secong over taking a wicket. We bowled only 13.2 overs and had them all out for 43. A big Thanks to John for coaching , It was great to see a group of boys having fun and everyone having a go and giving everyone a go

Under  16 open V  Henry Lawson.
We won the toss and decided to bat, a  magnificent  123 not out by our opening batsman Michael Beggs was the highlight of the innings his first century and becoming the highest scorer in the Beggs household relegating his dad Colin back to second position .
An opening stand of 53 between Michael and Shannon from 9 overs set the trend before Shannon was out for 21 the a second stand from Michael and Robert of 71 from 11 over before Robert was caught for 35.
Then Srihari  joined Michael and some big hitting from both of them  put on a stand of 135 on only  15 overs
and we ended up with the huge score of 274 for 3 from 38 overs with  Srihari scoring  67
With only  8 players Henry Lawson were behind the 8 ball from the start  and wickets started to fall , a bit of a resistance from the second pair delayed the inevitable and the innings finishing in the 31st over being all out for 110.  Good bowling by Shannon taking 2 for 13  A vastly improved bowling performance by our new player Adam Blair taking 1 for 4 from 3 overs and Shane chipping in  with 1 for 5  the other wicket going to Josh Rose 1 for 13    Well done boys
