Upcoming Events and Fundraisers by Sacred Crossroads

Please Note: Sacred Crossroads does not observe Pagan Standard Time. Our events will always begin when we have stated they will begin

Quest for Chocolate -- a scavenger hunt with a twist. The grand prize will be a big honkin' box of chocolate. This event will take place on a Saturday in fall 2004 - exact date and details to follow.

Sacred Crossroads' 2005 Calendar of Sacred Dates -- Launch Party on September 27th, 2004 at Fresh Start Cafe, Bay St. & Elm, in Toronto. Contributors will be on hand to sign your copy and display their wares. Other fundraising merchandise will also be available.
This calendar is a spiral bound book, featuring the sacred dates of the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Mesopotamians, those important to the Celts, Norse, Hindi, Shinto, Chinese, Buddhist, Yoruba & Voodoo, Native Americans and modern festivals as well. It will also include moon phases and other astrological information, and the dates of local pagan festivals & conventions for 2005.

Sacred Crossroads' Pagan Cookbook - tentatively named "Burnt Offerings? Try These Recipes Instead!" Due out around Yule.

In Paganism, as with all belief systems, food plays an integral part in how we celebrate our beliefs -  not only as offerings to the Gods but at our feast tables as well. When we labour devotedly over these carefully prepared masterpieces, we infuse them with our loving energy.

Sacred Crossroads is preparing a cookbook filled with these special recipes for ritual feasts and Sabbats, and we would be honoured to collect your recipes (and the stories and folklore behind them as well) and compile them into a single volume. This would be a cookbook geared exclusively to the Pagan Community written by the Pagan Community.

All contributions will be fully credited; just let us know what name you would like to be listed under. All proceeds from the sale of this cookbook will go towards our goal of a permanent community centre in Toronto.

If you would like to submit a recipe, please send it to [email protected] with COOKBOOK SUBMISSION in the subject line. Please get your submissions to us by August 31st, so that we can be sure to include it.

Myth & Magic Tour at the Zoo -- September or October 2004 - details to follow

Responding to people's comments about a lack of open rituals for the "Dark" half of the year, Sacred Crossroads is proud to hold such an event. a memorial "tree" for our departed family members & friends
a memorial "bush" for our honoured & departed pets (50% of the proceeds from this will be donated to the Feline Protection and Adoption Association)
a ritual honouring our ancestors
a pot luck feast following the ritual
