| [Extract] MORE than 1000 dogs competed in the seventh Western Classic Dog Show held at the Canine Association of WA�s Canine Centre in Gosnells last weekend. The line-up included many Australian champions, as well as dogs competing for points to make up their titles. An English springer spaniel, Ch Briarknoll Royal Oak (above), owned by P. Alford & S. Warry, of Canning Vale, was named Best Exhibit. A pekingese dog named Ch Woonan Whata Sensation, from Aristic Kennels in Canning Vale, was Runner-Up. Senior British Judge Mrs Pamela Cross-Stern officiated. In the second heat of the PAL Junior Showman, Tanya Davis, of Armadale, won the junior girl section and Craig Hutton, of Geraldton was named junior boy. Heather Watson, of West Swan, was judged senior girl and Troy Fitzgerald, of Maddington, won the senior boy section. The finals of the Pal Junior Showman will be judged in July next year. The PAL Superdog team also performed at last week�s show.
