British Paratrooper Falklands
Imperial Gallery manufactured this kit. It is mostly resin with some metal parts mixed in. I liked the figure�s pose and the amount of gear he is carrying. Much like the pictures you see for that period. What I didn�t like was the scowling facial expression. Though it might be impossible managing to smile while doing a tab, I replaced the headsulpt with one that made by Warriors. I sculpted the beret and insignia onto the headsculpt. I like the effect, made him look like his enjoying his adventure. Also, the box art shows him hefting a GMPG. I dry fitted it but it never fit properly. I looked around the metal parts and saw the SLR. When I had the figure cradle it, it was perfect. I also worked on the Bergen rucksack. The rolled foam was supplied but like the GMPG, it doesn�t fit well with the ruck. So, I sawed off the top and glued the foam. I then built up the rucksack top with putty. It�s not perfect but it doesn�t look bad. I also imprinted the helmet to the rucksack. I never got to finish painting the whole figure but I decided to include it here in my site.
