  Holden Hill 10 Year Re-union

In January 1994, the Holden Hill Police Rangers Unit was launched, with Kildare College as it's base, and the Dunkirk Veterans Association as their patrons.

It was founded after a few Police Officers from Holden Hill Police Station took up the idea from previous running units.

Now, after having the unit run for ten years, a reunion was sought and all Holden Hill Police Rangers, past and present attended the function, with the Commissioner of Police Mal Hyde being the guest of Honor and other various invited guests attended.

The Reunion was held at the end of January 2004, precisely ten years after the commencement of the unit. It was a good night for all guests and Rangers. The current Rangers received certificates for community hours performed, and the Holden Hill 'Sergeant Steve Reid' Ranger of the Year award was given.

The Unit also held a raffle on the night to support the unit in their finances, and prizes galore were donated and given out.

The Holden Hill Unit would like to thank the following:

  • Commissioner of Police (Mal Hyde) for attending,
  • John De Fidi Reception Centrefor a lovely night,
  • current Rangers for their support
