The day showing Adam's true downfall in Smash. For the past few months, I almost didn't play Adam in Smash at all (you know, since around the time he got that girlfriend). From this day, the last time I played Adam was over a month before, and that was only 1 match. Before this day Adam had been telling me he doesn't play Smash anymore because there are better things, and this proves he doesn't care about Smash anymore:

Scott (Ganondorf) vs Adam (Ganondorf) - Scott wins
Scott (Mewtwo) vs Adam (Ness) - Adam wins

In all the matches against Adam's Fox, I have never come that close to beating him, and possibly have never gotten him to his last life, no matter what character I am. The three obvious reasons for me coming so close this time are:
1. Practice. Adam has always been better than all of us without having to practice. The past few months I played Smash a bunch of times, and Adam didn't. He thought he would always be better without needing practice, but if he continues to not play, he will be surpassed.
2. He doesn't care about Smash anymore. He said he doesn't care about Smash anymore, and it now seems true. If you don't care about Smash, you aren't going to put full effort into it.
3. Adam's girlfriend was in the room. Before I even sat down Adam had picked Fox and was ready to play, something he doesn't usually do. He doesn't usually immediately choose his character and will often debate what character to use before choosing Fox. His choosing Fox as soon as the game was on without me even ready shows he was probably trying to impress his girlfriend in some sick way by not losing at Smash by playing as his best character. Adam also never gets nervous when playing Smash, but he probably got nervous with his girlfriend being there because for some reason he thinks he has feelings now, so he probably tricked himself into thinking he could have feelings of nervousness when playing Smash. Because that is just the sick kind of person he is.
