PERSONALITY: Annoyingly confident, Zoe is high maintenance and demands nothing short of the best. She is boastful, vain, spoiled, arrogant, self-centered, selfish, and has an attitude. She is boy crazy and loves to wear top dollar clothing that is in style. She will not take part in any activity that will cause her to break a nail or ruin her make-up. She and Plague argue all of the time and she constantly challenges anyone who back talks her or questions her authority. Despite her haughty nature, she has a kind heart and cares deeply for her little sister, Niobi, and sees her as her first priority in any given situation.

BIOGRAPHY: Zoes mother Nephthys, was an Arabic woman who lived in Egypt. She worked at a Cairo museum when she met Baingana Oltsego, who was from Uganda and came to Egypt for a vacation. The two wealthy people befriended each other and got married two years later. Baingana took up residence with his new wife in Egypt. They had a son that they named Zebadiah Amun-Ra Oltsego. About a year later, they had Zoe. Five years after Zoe was born, Niobi Raquel came into the world. Bainganas sister, Auset, was the mother of Tyrel. Their brother, Bakari, fathered Abishai, the daughter of Tyrels Aunt Betty. Bakari and Auset left Uganda several years before Baingana and his family did. When Zoe was six, the Oltsego family immigrated to America and lived in New York City. Zoe and Niobi were sent to a four star girls academy for a time before transferring to the public school where their brother was being taught. Zebadiah struck out on his own when he was seventeen. Aunt B, who worked at a bakery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, told Zebadiah to move in with her and Abishai to help with the house. Zebadiah agreed and attended college, finding a good paying job at a local office to help pay for his tuition.

Zoe had always been a high-class girl while Niobi remained pretty low maintenance. In fact, Zoe is pretty much a millionaire, her parents giving their oldest daughter her own bank account with a fraction of the family fortune. Zoe got her own credit card when she was fifteen. She spent a lot of her time shopping for designer line clothing when not doing school work or babysitting Niobi (often she would force Niobi to go to the mall with her and get her new clothes. Niobi had no choice but to be forced into frilly mini skirts and go to the local salon). It seemed like the family was faring pretty well. However, when Zoe was sixteen, she noticed her parents acting strangely. Her father had become an alcoholic and her mother a crack addict. Zoe often tried to shield her little sister from their behavior by staying locked in either of their rooms talking and willingly playing video games with Niobi. Niobi always seemed cheerful, but in reality she was suffering and becoming depressed because of what was happening to her parents. Zoe had finally had enough and things became so bad that she had to leave when she was seventeen. She tried to take Niobi with her, but her parents forbade Zoe from taking Niobi and the court would not allow her to have custody until she was eighteen. Frustrated, Zoe swore to her sister that she would be back to get her and take her to a better place.

Zoe traveled to Maryland where she literally ran into Plague (she,
Ryoko, Sin, Shinmon, Hoofamon, Kenyamon, and Muff were there visiting Suzukas cousin). Plague and Zoe began exchanging swear words rather loudly, causing several people to stop and stare at them. Ryoko dragged Plague off and apologized. The gang ran into the Yankee later on that day. Zoe had been staying in a hotel with nothing but a backpack and two suit cases. Ryoko began talking to her and found out about Niobi and the situation she was in. She offered Zoe to stay with them until she turned eighteen when the African girl could go back and gain custody of her sister. Zoe agreed (much to Plagues displeasure), and she began living with them, constantly flirting with Sin, who ignored her most of the time. When Zoe turned eighteen, she traveled back to New York and took her parents to court. With Hoofamon there in his human form as a witness to the better life that Niobi would receive, Zoe won custody of her little sister and brought her to Virginia to live at the Imaad house.

QUIRKS: Zoe is ruthless when it comes to shopping. She has money to burn and is willing to pay more for a designer name brand pair of jeans at top dollar than buying the same pair from a thrift store dirt cheap. She constantly badgers everyone about their fashion sense. Ryoko is a favorite target of hers to both ridicule about her choice in clothing and to force into shopping with her and Niobi. Zoe is the type of girl that would go club hopping on Saturday nights at the drop of a hat. Her and Plague argue constantly about anything and everything. Since both of them have an attitude and neither one of them like people smarting off to them, they seem to argue about that the most. Some of the most heated arguments begin when Zoe flirts with Sin. Zoe notices how annoyed Plague gets and hits on the Goth samurai often to get on the punk girls nerves. When she suggests to Plague that she likes Sin but is too afraid to admit it, a cat fight usually ensues with Plague denying the allegations. The only thing this girly-girl and Plague have in common is that both of them carry on a fit whenever Muff is anywhere near them. Zoe also has a habit of screaming when Merlin flies near her. Zoe is very protective of Niobi and shouts at anyone who curses near her sister. Interestingly enough, Zoe curses in front of Niobi, anyway, and her excuse is that she is her sister and that she is an exception and constantly reminds Niobi to not repeat anything bad that anyone says. Zoe, keeping up-to-date on the latest fashions, has a habit of wearing things only a few times before she decides that it is out of style and updates her look. She has a large collection of shoes and tends to wear mini skirts and high heels most of the time, even when going to the barn.

THOUGHTS: Zoes scary when she shops, especially when she preys upon someone: You WILL wear this and Im buying it for you whether you like it or not! ._. ||| Poor little Niobi has to suffer through everything her sister does to her from makeovers to bra shopping, but its easy to see that they both love each other dearly. Zoe wants to shelter her little sister from the evils in the world, but knows that she has to be exposed to it to learn, so she constantly struggles with that. Secretly she worries of the psychological wounds that Niobi suffered from their drug abusing parents. I find it amusing that Zoe is two inches taller than Lestat and since she constantly wears high heels that makes her even taller, its funny to see her  pick on him about his height. When in good spirits and not responding with a curse or any other smartazz comment, he usually says, If I wore heels, Id be taller, too. XD Oddly enough, Zoe was inspired by a country song: Chrome by Trace Adkins. I created her to be different. I didnt have an ultra feminine girl in the storyline and thought that it would be nice to have something different, plus I dont see many black skinned people in anime (I remember seeing a guy on Dragonball Z once and then theres Nadia from Nadia: Secret of Blue Water and Anthy from Revolutionary Girl Utena).
