Ryde Scout Group has been going since 1915. See our 90th Birthday celebrations here. At one stage there was 1st Ryde, 2nd Ryde and 3rd Ryde. When these amalgamated the group became known as just 'Ryde'. The scarf incorporated colours from the previous groups - grey background with a yellow and blue stripe. Ryde is part of Moocooboolah District in Sydney North Region. Most of the 'Mooc' groups have a badge unique to the District which members wear on the back of the scarf.
Other groups in Moocooboolah are 1st Meadowbank, 1st East Ryde, 1st North Ryde, 1st Hunters Hill, Boronia, 1st Putney, 1st Gladesville, 1st Lane Cove, 2nd Longueville and 1st Tambourine Bay.
