Ryde Cubs meet every Monday evening during school term time between 7.00 and 8.30pm.
Waiting for a biteAs a cub, you'll get together each week with other boys and girls your age and be led into adventure! You'll wear your own Cub Scout uniform to show you're one of us. And you'll be able to collect special badges to put on your uniform to show your achievements.
Activities
One of the activities cubs enjoy is learning how to fish and Ryde Cub Pack recently went fishing for an afternoon at Clarkes Pt, Hunters Hill. To be awarded a Fishing Badge, Cubs have to find out about weather and water conditions, discuss safety precautions when fishing and take part in 3 fishing trips and keep a log as well as showing how to care for and maintain fishing gear.
Our trip to Clarkes Point was very successful with all the Cubs getting good practice at baiting hooks and casting a line. Unfortunately there weren't many fish biting but we did catch a few tiddlers to make the day a bit more exciting.

Our Cub Scout leaders are known by their Cub names taken from the Jungle Book: Wontolla, Grey Brother and Dolphin. The leaders share the task of organising games and activities each Monday evening for the cubs.
