July: The red ruby welcomes you to
the month of July. This is a busy time of year for people getting married,
yes, and one item that might have got them into that trouble in the first
place is the strawberry. This section of the recipes of the month will
take a look at some interesting ways of preparing this delicious berry. I
am not talking about those steriod induced kind from California, but our
local berries form Atlantic Canada. They are the strongest in flavour
and the best in the world.

September: The blue sapphire month
brings me back to my childhood days. The apple harvest, reminding me of
the days of helping out on my father's friend's apple orchard. What ever
you do don't do what I did when I was seven years old and snack down a
dozen apples. Finding myself unable to make it back to the farm house to
get to the crapper on time... what a mess. Apple pie is fine enough, but
there is so much more, as you can notice with the recipes below.

October: Moving on to the pink zircon
month we find ourselves coming ever so close to the witching hour of
halloween. Along with this celebration and the popularity of pumpkins in
the markets, there was no shortage of recipes to fill this section of the
recipes on the month. For the most part in cooking the recipes are much
better when the products used are of the fresh variety. One of the
exceptions to this rule is with pumpkin, when the canned variety works
just as well, or better

this month is the golden the golden topaz month, because it is one of the

December: Among other things is the
blue-green zircon month and of course a month of celebrations with
Christmas. The recipes below will try to help and assist you in the
preparation of the all mighty Christmas dinner. Although people seem to
be getting away from the traditional dinner, it is not all that difficult
to prepare. A good size turkey should only take a few hours to cook, you
don't have to start working first thing in the morning. Some of the items
can even be started a day or two in advance.
