John D. Copelan listed in the 1830 Federal Census, Greene, GA,, just two names away from his mother, Nancy Copelan, age 50-60; he is listed as age 20-30, with one female under 5, one female age 20-30, and one female slave age 10-24.
Listed as a farmer in the 1850 Federal Census, District 140, Greene, GA.
12 MAY 1856: Greene Co., GA, Will Book G, was appointed executor of the will of his father-in-law, Duke Williams, and trustee for his daughter Betsy Peek. 4
