Arthus stayed with Van Helsing, becoming
his disciple. Arthus told Arthus all about his lineage and the reason for his
birth. Arthus could not believe that vampires exist and that an oath more than
forty years old came true. He took this information lightly. Van Helsing knew
that the responsibility of training Arthus into a skilled vampire hunter was on
him. Meanwhile, for Arthus, he made two friends, Elfangor and Basilk . After
talking with them, he came to know that they two were orphans also because
of a vampire known as Dracula. Arthus
felt no pity for them, in fact he was not bothered. He only spent some of his
time with those two disciples.
Arthus was told about his parents’
killer. His name was Draksha. Living in an ancient castle located in the
Carpathian Mountains in Romania. He was a very dangerous vampire who killed
many vampire hunters of whom, Lucius was one. No one was skilled enough to beat
him in battle.
Arthus spent his free time trying to create innovative weapons
for the wipeout of vampirism. He also tries new hunting tactics with Elfangor
and Basilk. Sometime, he joins Van Helsing trying to find out a cure for
werewolves and zombies. He also experimented on different food products to see anyone
of them have the abilities to ward of vampires but to no avail. Arthus also
spent time reading histories of other lands apart from his. Like this, Arthus
grew up learning a lot of things. He admired Van Helsing for work and wanted to
be like him.
After about ten years, Arthus was
about to leave Van Helsing and seek his living in the outside world. By then,
he was a skilled vampire hunter. After completing his final month of training
there, he took leave of his teacher and friends. He went searching for a
suitable place to set up his home. So he set of for Romania.
Arthus arrived in Romania at
nightfall. He was not sure where was Transylvania. With the help of a carriage
driver, he reached Transylvania. He saw the Carpathian Mountains and the
gloomy, sunless sky. Now, he knew why this place was ideal for the vampires to
live.
Arthus went to the church in Transylvania and stayed there. He learned more about the vampires from the friar in the church. Arthus was waiting to view the vampires’ activities.
One day, the moment came. Vampires swooped down on Transylvania, attacking the people. The whole place was in chaos and people were rushing to the church to save their lives. Arthus hid under a haystack and saw what the vampires did. He carefully noted each vampire and their appearances. After the vampires left, he rushed back to the church and saw the victims of the attack. It was an unsightly sight. Blood was all over the floor of the church. Some people even died. Arthus could not believe what he had seen. He knew he had to be cautious or he will joining these dead people also.
