C-CONN
Born and raised on South Side by way of Forest Hill, TX. Corey “C-Conn” Connally is no lightweight in any game. Be it grass, turf, or the streets, he is Da Don of everything he touches, especially the vocal booth. Regardless of the facility it’s attached to and its
history. Started out in full stride, headed for the NFL with major success from pee-wee league to the NCAA league, a sudden change struck that resulted in a serious knee injury while playing as a starting offensive back for WAC’s TCU Horned Frogs. Where do I go from here? The streets? From experience, pumping crack was not a sport to C-Conn, and paper or plastic was definitely a foreign language to him. Being blessed with gift(s) to choose from, he is now busting the gaps of slab cd decks and sticking to the G-Code. While everyone else is still coming down, C-Conn Da Don is murdering tracks with a southern vernacular that keeps listeners in awe. At the same time, scratching their heads while comparing his style to the likes of Legends like Rap-A-Lot‘s UGK Bun-B, and Z-Ro. Though both are well respected, he is holding his own and is in no way shape or form attempting to sound like anyone. The only resemblance of either is that there are no preservatives in their trillness. Truthfully, there are not many artists that can be compared to Bun-B or Z-Ro. So that speaks for itself. Meanwhile, others are trying to figure out his style and complicate his shine. He is constantly dropping hit lines that sticks in listener’s head like a brain freeze.
