| 3-12-08 Ok, so skydiving isnt as dangerous as i thought. I mean, if you're an IDIOT yes, but for someone with some sense, not so bad. One of the sites I was on had a really good article about the dangers. Think that is the same place Jason is jumping, I need to check with him. I think i'm gonna do it!!!!Thereby making it official, that i have indeed, lost my mind. |
| 3-24-08 OH MY GOD!!! I JUMPED!!! IT was THE most fun EVER. I cannot wait to go again. I wish it was cheaper, but i dont really care. The people were SO cool, very nice, very safety focused, and SO much fun to be around. I hung out all day and they didnt make me feel weird about just sitting in the hanger at all. You guys know how i am, when i dont know what to say or do I bury myself in a book and pray no one notices me. They were cool about it, no one seemed to care that i was just hangin. I really feel like I could just go back and hang out and they wouldnt care. I dont dare do that, but still it's nice to feel like i could. ANYWAY, cannot wait to jump again, have to save my money (NOW ACCEPTING DONATIONS!!!) so i can go ASAP. Jen (she owns it all) set me up with this online learning thing, its really cool, I'm learning all about those important details like how to land and why you should jump certain ways...its cool. Think I just added another item to the hobby list!!!!! |

| 4-14-08 Bummer bummer!!! The last two weekends have been a wash as far as skydiving goes. But good news is I did all my ground school work and learned how to pack a parachute. Sort of. Right now packing makes me want to scream, but I'll get it I just need to be patient with myself. And we all know how good i am at that! Open house was this past weekend and it was a blast!! Got to meet Jen's kids, and a bunch of "regulars" that I hadn't met yet, and everyone was great! Such an awesome group of people, I know even if I'm not jumping I'll be out there hanging out...you never know what you might learn!! |
| 4-28-08 SWEEEEEET!!! I got my second jump in FINALLY. This whole month, every sunday I've been at the dz, and the weather has just been shite! I got to ride the plane up and back down once (I dont want to talk about it!!!) But FINALLY FINALLY I got to jump yesterday. It was totally fantastic. I did all the things i was supposed to do and I did the most imporant thing...I PULLED! The only thing i wasnt happy with was my landing, but its a tandem there's not a lot of options there either. I just pray my solo landings are a bit prettier. |
