| 12-14-03 GGRRR. No one is ever going to hire me. I swear what do i need to do? It's not enough that i have single handedly been running the CZ, and I must have sent out 3000 resumes. Everyone told me this was going to be really difficult, but of course I'm too stubborn to believe them. Aaron said it took him 2 years to get his job. 2 YEARS??!!!!! | 2-2-04 HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP!!! I've GOT AN INTERVIEW!!!! FINALLY!!!! Dear god I think i might die from the excitement....I HAVE to get this job. I SO want this job....and i dont really know what animals it is or anything else. But i've been to this zoo and it's nice. I pretty much dont care about anything else except...wowser...i'll have to move away from home. Hmmm mixed feelings there. My folks are great, and its not like i'm not living the good life, no bills, no rent, none of those things. And yet, how much of a social life can you have when you're worried about coming home so late you'll disturb your parents....its like a warped version of high school. Only i never went out in high school, cuz, oh yeah, I was a DORK!! :-P |
| 2-16-04 Oh boy. I had my interview and it went really well. Except for my fat lip, but i dont think they noticed. I passed out in the bathroom at Atwoods on VALENTINES DAY...i was SOO sick. Anyway I busted my face on the way to the floor (i am SO graceful) and had to go to the most important interview of my life with a split lip.Anyway the spot is for Cats, which would be super cool. And the girl who interviewed me, Vicky, she'd be my partner. PLEASE LET ME GET THIS!!!! |

| 3-28-04 Wow. What a month. I moved, to Salina, KS. I think i'm the only non-redneck in the state. I'm living by myself...for the first freakin time. Holy crap, I can have people over without permission. Holy CRAP...I can have MEN over. Holy crap...i dont know anyone in this town, what was i thinking!!!! No its not that bad. The people at work seem nice enough, Vickie isnt going to be as much fun to partner with as I thought, but thats ok. I can deal. And BONUS...my snow leopard might be preggers...that would be fun. |
| 5-11-04 Ok. Pregnant snow leopard was NOT as much fun as you might think. She was, and we had to take the babies via C-section, which means she wont raise them. So i've been raising baby snow leopards. They are WAY cool, but oh my god...how do people have children? This is EXHAUSTING. I'm up 4-5 times a night driving to the zoo to feed. I dont think i've ever been so sleep deprived in my life. College was a cake walk compared to this! |

| 1-1-05 Right so i missed the rest of the year there. Oops. I was busy ok? I dont hate Kansas, although its definately not home. I'm lonely mostly. There are only 11 other people at work, and i work 12 hour days. Its not like i have a lot of time to socialize. I need a hobby where there are other people. |

| 6-18-05 Mmm they pulled me into the office today and asked me if i'd consider switching areas. Reptiles. hmmm I know NOTHING about reptiles. I dont see any reason NOT to take it though, its one more area i will have experience with. I might actually decide to go back to Tulsa someday, experience is a good thing. |
| 8-20-05 Sweet!! Belly dancing is going REALLY well. In fact, my instructor singled me out to teach while she's gone. Cool!! She also picked me and two other girls to perform at a wedding. I cant imagine having belly dancers at a wedding, but apparently the bride is Indian and this is traditional. We'll see how it goes!! |
