Pick thy Quest (Part 1)

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 41011

B'Elanna

But anyway, our next Quest (should we decide to accept, as John might be in the wont of saying) is.... standing right in front of us. Rather, we have several Quests to chose from, really. Seems that while only a few outstanding Quests are left over here, there is a decided lack of vetted Champions to play chaperon to the "newbie" Champions.

One would think that with all our numbers in the clan there would be enough to go around. Thing is, though, ours is not group of Champions who like to work together as a team. The Doctor ("our" Doctor") likes to work with his Champions. Jarlath likes to work as a team with his wives and those "proto-" Dark Elves, Artizza and Fertal. Have numerous husband/wife pairups. Friends and relatives.... Bottom line, we would have had the numbers if we didn't have teams within the Clan, but we do so we don't.

Get it? Good! So of course you see we still have some Quests on the docket. Some stuff on the bulletin board, waiting for all takers.

Here is basically who's left. Looking at some we DO so very much see that more "teams" are in the forming as we speak!

Sovay - Demifox Synizn
Dragoness Andrea - Dragon Synizn 2
Exotica - Synizn 2
Nimi'aia
Artizza 1 - Fertal 1
Triakoth - Elvaraniel

The last two couples bring us up short. Way we figure it the pixie female shouldn't be ready yet to circulate until after all the other Components for that strange Key to the Dark Tower business was finished up. Something doesn't figure here. While it's nice we might be able to finally get a chance to question a former block about what happens to them after the Rules and Agents get done with them (would like to know, for instance, what happened to Belinda and Hannah)

Yes, we're not naive enough to feel that we're not the only group of Champions (Morgana Wordeni and all her elfin children back on Rifts Earth comes to mind) out there gathering up Components left and right since we still have elves about needing chaperoning! And to make things really interesting we have this one newcomer to Terra Prime named Jake Chambers. Now, I'm certain you're thinking that I'm talking about Jake Deshain, the adopted son of Inquirer's brother, Roland Deschain. That particular Jake's last name had, at one time, been Chambers.

Well, it's kind of involved. That and he's one of the Key components as it turns out and....

  1. Ah, let's just first start with this displaced boy's story, okay?
