| I didn't realize until a few days before I left for California that my friends lived just a few minutes away in Seal Beach! I was so excited to make that discovery, as I had not seen the family since they had moved about a year and a half ago. This was the first time they had even seen my engagement ring. :) This is Miriam, me (Jan) and Deborah. |
| I had the greatest time going to the beach with my friends. We went two different times, the first being after dark when the sand was very cold, but I forced myself to go barefoot because when do I ever have that opportunity?? I don't think Washington has sand on the beaches... :) |
| This is another one of the gorgeous Californian sunsets at the beach Miri and Boo took me to. There were many people out there at this time (a little earlier than our first time out). There were the kids, the parents, the lovers, the friends, and the man of martial arts. I'm such a people-watcher! This picture makes a great desktop background, by the way. |
| Here are my very dramatic friends on the top of a sand hill at the beach. On the far side of the hill are some massive waves that cross over each other in very artistic patterns. |
