A Mother's Words
Being a mother has been one of the best jobs in my circle of life, it has by no means been an easy job, alot of work sweat and tears. But the end result has left me with two beautiful, respectful adults, who I am proud to call my own. They are by no means perfect, but they will be an asset to todays society, their goals are high, and they will succeed. I have many cherished memories from their childhood. And every now and then I think about them and giggle with a smile. Thank You Great Spirit for touching their lives, making them healthy and strong like the Mighty Oak Tree, watch over them and protect them. Guide them to make the right choices in life. If they should stumble along the way, show them bits of wisdom to help them along their way, so they can continue to stay on the right road of life. To my Daughter, Cathy and her fiance John. And to my Son Paul, and his fiance Missy, Kids you have no idea how proud I am of all of you,
Love Mom

Grandma's Little Angel

When I think of you,
I am reminded of the sacred hills of South Dakota,
Breathtakingly beautiful, vibrant, and so full of life.
I will teach you the old ways of your ancestors,
tell you the stories, and instill the values of faith hope and love, most important of these, love.
You are the sunshine of my life, a new beginning generation.
The power of love definitly does go on.
Great Spirit please watch over this child and protect her, help her see the beauty in life.
I love you my Sweet Angel,
Grandma

To the kids (now adults), to whom I have given shelter and bits of wisdom too, you are not forgotten I love you all as well!
You know who you are, if I missed you blame it on memory.

Final Bits-O-Wisdom
Dear Mom and Dad
September 11, 2001
I gave you life, but I cannot live it for you.
I can teach you things, but I cannot make you learn.
I can give you directions, but I cannot be there to lead you.
I can allow you freedom, but I cannot account for it.
I can teach you right from wrong, but I cannot always decide for you.
I can buy you beautiful clothes, but I cannot make you beautiful inside.
I can offer you advice, but I cannot accept it for you.
I can give you love, but I cannot force it upon you.
I can teach you to share, but I cannot make you unselfish.
I can teach you respect, but I cannot force you to show honor.
I can advise you about friends, but I cannot choose them for you.
I can advise you about sex, but I cannot keep you pure.
I can tell you the facts of life, but I cannot build your reputation.
I can tell you about drinking, but I cannot say "no" for you.
I can warn you about drugs, but I cannot prevent you from using them.
I can tell you about lofty goals, but I cannot achieve them for you.
I can teach you about kindness, but I cannot force you to be gracious.
