Games
  • A range of crossword puzzles are available for you to practise your English language skills.  Select the Animals crossword from this link and test your vocabulary.  If you need help during the puzzle lick the hint button under the puzzle. 
  • Why not try a quiz to improve your reading comprehension, general knowledge and word usage.  Learn about places such as Taiwan and Australia.


Treasure Hunts (sometimes called scavenger hunts)
  • These treasure hunts are designed for you to practise your detective skills while using the language skills you have learnt.  Some treasure hunts develop your skills in using web search engines.  Test your knowledge of Using the Alta Vista Search Engine by completing this treasure hunt. 


Writing
  • ESL Essays contain written work by ESL students.  Read the essay 'My Home' and write a description of the inside of your home just as Amali , the author has done.
  • Hyper Grammar covers punctuation, verbs, sentence building, paragraph writing spelling and much more.
  • Why not try to write your own quiz.

Keypals are a great way to communicate with students learning English in another part of the world or to meet new English speaking friends. 

Visit the Heinemann website and select 'keypals' then read the Netiquette Guide for Keypals before you sign up.  Be sure to fill in your name, email address, age, subject and message before submitting.

Why not join a learning quest and follow a 5 week journey across Australia.  Read the journal entry on October 25, 2000 and report back to your class some Aboriginal wisdom that you have learnt.
