Curriculum
Students are given
the opportunity to achieve in all areas of the curriculum - maths, english,
science, languages, the arts, technology, humanities and health and physical
education. Problem solving and thinking skills are an integral part
of the curriculum.
Focussed teaching,
engaged learning and an enthusiastic, caring staff encourage students to
reach their potential. The range of enrichment activities further
enhances learning.
Gifted
Education
Robertson State
School is a Focus school for Gifted and Talented Education (GATE).
This year we won a Showcase in Excellence Award from Education Queensland
for the work we do in differentiation of the curriculum.

Technology
Students in Years
1 to 7 can explore the Internet through the school's fully networked computer
system.
Technology is
an integral part of the learning experience for all students. Multi-media
facilities challenge children to communicate and share knowledge in new
and exciting ways.
Music
All students at
Robertson are encouraged to be music makers. The program caters for
all levels of musical ability with various instruments available to students
to learn.
Students gain
a wide appreciation of music and can experience the thrill of performing
in choirs, concert band and string orchestra.
Sport
Sports programs
at Robertson focus on participation. A range of sports including
netball, soccer, cricket, tennis, softball and athletics develops broad
based skills and enables children to participate in competitive sporting
teams.
The school's gymnastics
club has been rated as "Best Primary School Club" by the Queensland Gymnastics
Association.
