On the Web

As the strength started growing, a thought suddenly occured.... why not have a webpage that would be a tribute to the togetherness in distance of all the batchmates? A webpage would mean time, an investment which not many could afford to make.... but even though it involved sacrifices, the trio of Dev, Vijay and Vinod wanted this monument to be raised.... The batch had seen enormous success in the OSCAR'99 which was also officially headed by them.... and the webpage would be the topping on the cake!

Labouring hard night and day, stealing moments from office hours, and school hours, locking horns as to the content, the webpage started coming up, unknown to the majority of the batch, as this was being planned as a surprise..... When the first word of it was announced, there were a lot of batchmates willing to help, and details started flowing in. Long lost friends started sending in snapshots of theirs.... and whereabouts.... and slowly the material was quite solid.

The webpage would be a testimony to the success of the members of this batch, at the same time would have to offer a chance to the members to achieve what they are losing.... memories under the Banyan tree... of moments when the lunch breaks were enjoyed there, of times when programmes were staged there, of the Assembly sessions, PT periods, all moments that had just lingered as memories..... In the fast changing world where one does not know about the next minute to plan for the next day, relaxation is a must, and the planners of the webpage strongly believe that the memories of the good old days at school would offer substantial solace.

In this context, the webpage shall be a colourful one, where the skies are all painted with the stars and a common platform for sharing the latest news at school.... be it a new principal, an old teacher retiring from service, the information on Sports Day, Parents Day, and such stuff..... or be it personal to members, like marriage bells, infants in the family, promotions in the job, achievements, awards, vacations.....

At the Class Of 96, we always believe that a person should just be able to turn a page backwards, and be able to go into the past. And this webpage would strive to offer that.
