He has fluid in this
knee, so I'm giving him time off until it is drained by the vet.
He will also be gelded on the same day so will be out of training for a
bit more.
~ Tuesday the 11th ~
I had the side-reins on hole four but there was like no contact! I
didn't do much because of his leg.
~ Monday the 10th -
Evening ~
I think he's getting a bit bored because he wasn't going too well.
I'm going to start to do lunging/in-hand on alternate days.
~ Monday the 10th -
Morning ~
He's now trotting beside me ok, he's doing the "L" perfect but
the side-passes aren't going too well.
~ Sunday the 9th ~
Is a little better at the side-passes, still backing a bit though.
He trotted beside me well so I didn't do much.
~ Saturday the 8th ~
Started side-passes today. He will cross his legs in-front but
backs up after practically every step!
~ Friday the7th ~
Did some more in-hand things today. He still isn't trotting beside
me well but we're working on it. We did some 360 degree turns
(practise for the in-hand trail), he was crossing his outside legs in
front of the inside ones every time on the right but not every time on
the left. We also backed the "L" shape and he was
amazing! He backs so well!
~ Thursday the 6th ~
I ponied him around the paddock a few times because that's how I'm going
to get him to the Ribbon Day. I practised for the halter class by
leading him around but he wouldn't trot! After a few minutes I got
him to do a few strides so I stopped there. Then I got this orange
tarpaulen out and walked him across it a couple of times, once stopping
him in the middle.
~ Wednesday the 5th
~
Took the side-reins up one notch but still had no effect. I'm
gonna take them up one by one even if they have no effect because he's
still lame.
~ Tuesday the 4th ~
I put the side-reins on today but loose enough to have no effect.
He was lame in his near fore so we didn't do much. |
