~ Sunday the 23rd ~
Went well at walk and trot.  I put a poll down so he could just walk and trot over it, but he knocked it every time!  He looked a bit lame on the off fore though.

Gave him the rest of the week off.

~ Wednesday the 19th ~
Didin't go too well - probably because it was quite windy and a couple of things were scaring him.

~ Tuesday the 18th ~
Went very well at walk and trot.  Tried Titch's bit after lunging and it fits perfectly!  I left the bridle on for about 5 minutes and from now on will be lunging with the bridle and saddle (with stirrups run up).

~ Monday the 17th ~
Quite windy today so didn't do any work.

~ Sunday the 16th - Evening ~
Went well at walk and trot with saddle (stirrups run down).  Was good at beach too.  If I get a bit I will introduce the bridle tomorrow.

~ Sunday the 16th - Morning ~
Went well at walk and trot with the saddle (with stirrups).  Taking him to the beach again tonight.

~ Saturday the 15th - Evening ~
Rubbed him all over with the saddle blanket and then put the saddle (without stirrups) on him.  He lunged well at walk and trot with the saddle.  Afterwards mum walked him down to the beach and when we were there I led him around the beach.  He wouldn't go down the banks (not very high!) so we had to take him down this track.  I took him through water and he was good!  Tomorrow morning I will put the stirrups on the saddle (run up) and if he goes well, in the evening will have the stirrups run down to get him used to movement against his sides.

~ Saturday the 15th - Morning ~
Went well at walk, trot and canter (on the right rein!)  He didn't like me asking for him to keep trotting while he was doing a poo and he broke into a canter.  It was really good because it wasn't a stupid canter and after about a lap (I can't remember if I asked him to go back to trot or not!) he trotted.  Either today or tomorrow (if I can be bothered), I will take him down to the beach.  In the evening session today, I may lunge him with the saddle without stirrups or I will just get him used to the saddle.

~ Friday the 14th ~
Same as yesterday but today I worked through his unwillingness by trotting half the circle where he didn't stop and when that was going well trotting him in the part he didn't go well.  Then I started trotting one circle, then walking one, then trotting one etc.

~ Thursday the 13th ~
Went very very well on the left rein, walking and trotting , but not so well on the right, trotting.  (After one and a half rounds of trotting he stopped and faced me and wouldn't go and kept doing that, sometimes trying to turn around and go on the left rein.)  I didn't really want to get him in much of a tizzy so the time he trotted a few strides I asked him to walk and then stop practically straight away.

~ Wednesday the 12th ~
Went very well considering I was videoing him - will put it up , once I know how (if I can)!

~ Tuesday the 11th ~
Didn't stop at Titch today, but did a couple of strides of canter when I asked for trot.

~ Monday the 10th ~
A little bit better today.  Stops at Titch at trot only on the right rein.

~ Sunday the 9th ~
Went ok at walk and trot.  Is better on the left rein than the right.
