~ Thursday the 30th ~
Did about the same things as yesterday, and he reacted similarly.

~ Wednesday the 29th ~
He went extremely well today.  I walked him and trotted him a bit.  Instead of going into his usual canter, all he did was throw his head around a bit and trotted fine.  After a few steps he stopped though (on both reins), so now we're working on him staying trotting till I ask him to walk.  He did trot around once on each rein but I didn't think he should do more at the moment.

~ Tuesday the 28th ~
I will now be just working him in the evening apart from weekends/holidays as school has started up again.
He went well at walk and when I asked him to trot he started cantering (on the correct leg!) and then halted.  I asked him again and he did the same thing so I asked mum to come and do it.  (To tell you the truth, I'm a bit afraid of him at times).  At first he just stopped and went towards Titch but mum got him cantering around until he decided to trot.  Once he was trotting he was really good, it's just starting that's the problem.  On the other rein he stopped a bit more when she asked but was fine when he was trotting.

~ Monday the 27th ~
It was windy and rainy for most of the day and I didn't think it was a good idea to work him in those conditions.

~ Sunday the 26th - Evening ~
Didn't go very well in this session.  First we brought Titch in but Red cantered off so Mum tried him on the lunge.  At first he didn't know whether to trot or canter but he now knows to trot.  Typically he kept trying to go to Titch but tomorrow when I try Titch won't be in the paddock so I think it will go well.

~ Sunday the 26th - Morning ~
We got Titch to trot in front of him and it worked pretty well.  The first round of the paddock Mum led him so I don't know exactly how I went.  He did canter towards us without Mum though.  The second time I led him and he went really well.  I thought we should stop then but Mum said to do just one more round.  We did and three-quarters of the way round he cantered off and bucked out at me - I'm sure he didn't mean to do at me though.  Because of that we did just a little and he was good.

~ Saturday the 25th - Evening ~
Went well at walk.  Have asked Mum to help me trot him tomorrow.

~ Saturday the 25th - Morning ~
He went well at the walk and when I asked him to trot he did a few paces then stopped dead.  He then would hardly walk around so I didn't think it was a good idea to ask again.  On the other rein he walked well and when I asked him to trot he went in to a canter, did a few paces and then stopped.  This evening I will just walk and I'll ask for the trot again tomorrow morning.

~ Friday the 24th ~
Went really good, still only lunging at walk though.  Some people may think I'm taking this too slow but I have a habit of this and I really want to get it right with him.

~ Thursday the 23rd ~
Went well but still only lunging at walk.

~ Wednesday the 22nd ~
It rained for most of the day so didn't do anything with him.

~ Tuesday the 21st ~
He did great today!  He did stop a couple of times though.  I think I will only try trot once he doesn't stop at all.

~ Monday the 20th ~
Did more lunging today.  He is not stopping as much as he was yesterday.  If all goes well tomorrow, will try trot on Wednesday - Evening.

~ Sunday the 19th - Evening ~
Same as for morning but I did the lunging this time.

~ Sunday the 19th - Morning ~
I got Red!!!
In the morning my mother helped me start teaching Red how to lunge.  She did a few circles on each rein (only about 4m in diameter!)  The only gear we were using was a parelli halter and a 12ft rope.  Red was going well considering he had never been lunged before!
