Debannita is my wife. She is finishing her PhD at IICB, Kolkata on biotechnology. I do not understand much of what she works on. I hear words like “Enzyme Synthesis”, “purification”, “column”, etc. Everything is Latin to me. Some of those 'etc' words are actually Latin.
We got married on Nov 27, 2005. We are nearing our third anniversary. She could set a relationship with a person, the moment you meet him/her. Everybody is a dada or didi or dida or dadu. For those who do not understand Indian, these are not the Brazilian footballers’ names. They stand for brother, sister, grandma or grandpa in Bengali language. A fish vendor is a mach(fish)-kaku(uncle) to her. This is the most amazing way, one can address a person, whom we tend to not care of. She has been my motivation and my biggest well-wisher. Also, she is my biggest critic, who always wishes that I stay happy all the time.
We never matched astrological signs before marriage. She is cancerian while I am an acquarais. Later, according to online astrology website, twenty seven and half (we are confused about this half part) of our qualities (gun) have matched. Almost raj-jotok (royal match). One difference among the few ones: she loves the ocean and I love the mountains. End result is that we get to see both mountains and ocean.
