 | We decided on a late start today. We did some laundry at our motel in the morning.
 | We then set out to find the Oklahoma City
National Memorial. Wow, it wasn't what I expected. I didn't realize the magnitude
of it until we were there in person. It was emotional to say the least. It was very
beautiful. There was a reflection pond in the middle and every part of the memorial
symbolized something pertaining to the event.

 | After we left the memorial, we headed out of town, back on Route 66. We found a
building with a huge milk bottle on the roof and an old-style McDonalds where we had lunch. |

 | Then there was just a string of small towns. We saw Yukon's Best
Flour. We even got to see Lucille's. She was "the
mother of the mother road". We tried to find Pop Hicks Place, but couldn't seem to
locate it. Later we found out that it had burned down two years earlier. |

 | We then went on to the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum. That was a
really neat place. We bought some souvenirs there. I got Jerry a honeymoon present there,
a Route 66 money clip. After settling in at our motel room. We went our for a quick
dinner, came back and watched TV. |
