Nano Electronic Laboratory Tour
As part of our Indonesian Student Assocciation of North Japan Branch (PPI-KDJU) scientific activities, on November 24, 2001, we had short visit to the "Nano electronic laboratory of Hokkaido University".
During the visit, we were guided by Dr. Agus Subagyo, a postdoctoral researcher of the nano electronic laboratory.  Although participants are coming form different field, Dr Agus  explained to us very clearly about lates nano electronic techonolgy research doing in his laboratory. He mentioned about "SPIN " (Micro magnetism of individual atoms) Technology. He also showed us how to use STM (Scanning Tunneling Microscope), EFM (Exchange Force Microscope), Spin-polarized scanning electron microscope, and MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy).

One of our member  tried to write a short word using STM on a Si (111) 7 x 7 reconstructed surface. Writing on a plat terrace by applying a continuous negative voltage pulse of 4.2V for 0.1 ms, at final  the image result has scan size of 45 x 75 nm
