Distant Revenge

Hey, my good friends sat down and whipped out this book in an afternoon, actually it took over a year. I hate to read, but I read it and could hardly put it down. They have promised to remember the little people, including me, when it is on the best seller list. Please check out this book by starting on my page for it, which is hidden under the book cover. Click on the cover to see it.

DEAR LORD...

So far today, God, I've done all right... I haven't gossiped, I haven't lost my temper, I haven't been grumpy, greedy, nasty, selfish or self-indulgent.

I'm very thankful for that. But in a few minutes, Lord, I'm going to have to get out of bed... and from then on, I'm going to need a little help.

AMEN

News Flash: This just in- our Milky Way is reportedly on a collision course with another galaxy. Scientists with phenomenal foresight have given us two billion years, unless there is a fly-by, in which case we are OK.

When I was but a wee lass, my mother taught me a poem by James Whitcomb Riley. She said she used to play on his grave when she was a little girl, but knowing her, I doubt that. The poem was named 'Little Orphant Annie'. I can't explain why, but all these many decades later, I still remember it. I put it on my little reading list for you. And you have to know that I will recite it at the drop of a hat- it is the only poem I remember (apologies to all of my English teachers).

Of course you know that I am going to have pictures of my 'girls'. Also have a picture of Daddy, who celebrated his 96th birthday on February 3, 2004.

I have a little more reading here. Read it if you want and don't if you don't want. But so there can be peace on the internet, please read the Public Service Announcement. We will all be better for it.

Thoughts (not mine)

Thought For Today: "If you don't change your beliefs, your life will be like this forever. Is that good news?" - Douglas Noel Adams, British author, "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (1952- )

Thought For Yesterday: "Growing old is no more than a bad habit which a busy man has no time to form." - Andre Maurois, author (1885-1967).

Thought For Day Before Yesterday: "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein.

One More: "Only the wisest and stupidest of men never change." - Confucius.

And... "Fear is a disease that eats away at logic and makes man inhuman." - Marian Anderson, singer (1902-1993).

My thoughts collection started getting a little long, so I have now put them on a second page. Wonderful opportunity to see another clever background. Ha! Pretty self-serving, don't ja think? Just click below.

More Thoughts

Well, that is all for now, I will return and add some things later if I can think of something clever-

FAT CHANCE.
