Sign Four: Cross
Suddenly a revelation springs forth from this embryonic vision and Sign Four: Cross appears.
Four pronged matrix,
broken
from the mount of our shame,
you split apart tentacles of unifying love,
and bring forth
our
Lamb of Change.
The number four denotes a spatial scheme for the order of manifestation. There are four basic directions, four traditional elements, four quarters of the Earth, four appendages to the body, etc. The sculpture itself is a backward "4".

Violence has happened here. Cross, pulled from the ground and mysteriously put up on the wall, has been broken. The loving tentacles that held it together are torn apart. We see entrails of both plant and animal. The teeth images lining  previous circles now morph to indicate something has burst open from the ancient interior.

Within the circle, two pods that issue forth the tentacles sit amidst a dark churning confusion. But this is an old sculpture, frozen in time. It denotes a crossroads of sorts where something unknown has happened.
