PSY OPS
- Sectia Actiuni Psihologice -

Even though this is not a new branch in the world's armies, not many countries have a dedicated psychological warfare unit.

Even inside NATO, less than half the member-countries could say they have such units in their Armed Forces. Romania's Special Operations structure includes a PSY OPS detachment, in a similar way in which the US Army Special Operations Command has its own PSYOP section.

Romanian PSY OPS detachments were the only ones chosed by the U.S. to participate in international missions such as Bosnia-Hertzegovina, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq and many more.

That is statement enough about the capabilities of these detachments, and you can find further information about them in this page.
