Built in 305/6AD, rediscovered in 1930, the remains of the Legionary bathhouse of the fortress of Eboracum echoes with the sound of ancient Roman voices - shouting, talking, singing......swearing! 1,700 years ago. 50 acres of fortress and most of it still to be discovered, so we are priviledged as custodians of a very important piece of Roman architecture.
